I am currently a physical therapy student, working towards my doctorate at Bellarmine University, Louisville. I will graduate in December 2011. I first came into contact with physical therapy when I was in high school and continued to gather an interest in the field. After my freshman year of college, I decided that along with my love of anatomy and interest in helping people, physical therapy is the right profession for me. Throughout my graduate career, I have learned that helping people with my knowledge base and continuing to strive for more knowledge is what keeps me motivated.
I am currently engaged to a dairy farmer in north central Indiana where I will reside once I graduate.
I am originally from a small town near Kokomo, Indiana. I participated in a lot of activities in high school including track and field, cross country, band, guard, orchestra, choir, Destination Imagination and dance, particularly ballet. I went to college to pursue a career in ballet, but later changed my mind to achieve a higher level of education and hopefully have a more stable job in which I am able to help people. I ended up at Purdue and graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Movement and Sport Science and a minor in modern dance. I now attend Bellarmine University to obtain my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in December 2011.
