User:Diana Hopkins-Rosseel
Diana is a Full Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen's University and a physiotherapist at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Diana was awarded the designation of Clinical Specialist in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy in Canada in 2012 and Distinguished University of Toronto Alumnus in 2013. Her early practice was as a lead in the critical care area and she has since added to this the opening and running of an interprofessional cardiac rehabilitation centre. The centre is now publicly funded and she continues to enjoy working there as a physiotherapist and assisting with development of services across the region. Diana's research portfolios include high fidelity simulation in interprofessional (IP) education through to behavioural modification, best practices and development of a risk triage tool in the cardiac rehabilitation paradigm. Diana has numerous peer reviewed publications, is a contributor to the Canadian Guidelines for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and the Standards for the Provision of CR in Ontario. In addition, Diana has given podia presentations provincially, nationally and internationally, including being an international invited speaker. Diana’s recent scholarly work is now branching into research and practice with the renal population within the model of chronic disease prevention and management.
