About Me

I am a neurological physiotherapist in the UK, with a special interest in Acquired Brain Injury and complex conditions, CVA, and Facial Palsy.
I have been a provider of specialist Outpatient Facial Rehabilitation for the NHS for past 11 years.
I also lecture in Neurological and Facial Physiotherapy.
I present workshops to physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists on Physiotherapy for Facial Palsy, and lecture to ENT, Opthalmic and Plastic Surgeons from various hospitals in the North West as part of team presenting Manchester Facial Palsy course in 2009 and 2011.
My teaching interests include training therapists to use Surface Electromyography (sEMG) equipment, as well as running workshops on use of sEMG for evaluation of nerve problems, and for Biofeedback.
In addition I teach regular courses on use of Trophic Electrical Stimulation.
Co-author of paper delivered at XI International Facial Nerve Symposium, Rome, Italy, April 2009.

Studied at Withington Hospital School of Physiotherapy, 1979-1982. Graduate Diploma of Physiotherapy.
