About Me
[edit | edit source]
My name is Richard, and I am a newly enrolled doctor of physical therapy student based in the United States. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience at Kenyon College. Because of a personal experience in my family with stroke recovery, I am particularly inter
ested in the neurological applications of physical therapy. For my undergraduate thesis, I completed a mock proposal on modified constraint-induced therapy (mCIT/ mCIMT) as an intervention for severe stroke patients.
I am also passionate about developing knowledge in global healthcare (specifically, international collaboration in physiotherapy and involvement with organizations such as WCPT). Though I am still developing my skills, I am not entirely new to the Physiopedia community. I completed the online Physiotherapy Management of Spinal Cord Injuries Course in June, 2014. I look forward to contributing to the site and cooperating with physiotherapists around the globe.
