About Me[edit | edit source]
I am a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Canada. I work as a regional physiotherapist in a small rural hospital in the North-West territories. I graduated from PT school in 2009 from India and recently graduated from a transitional doctorate program from College of St. Scholastica in Duluth ( 2021). I have been practising physiotherapy in Ontario since 2014.
In my current job I divide my time between inpatient and outpatient duties. Working in a remote hospital with limited resources has taught me to be flexible and creative. I provide general orthopedic care, basic neuro-rehabilitation, pelvic floor physiotherapy, basic vestibular rehabilitation, inpatient rehab ,discharge planning, travel clinics and virtual rehabilitation. I work closely with the indigenous population of Canada and since starting this job I have gained a deeper understanding of the unique health challenges faced by this community and the importance of culturally sensitive care.
I am interested in role of physiotherapy in diabetes management and in women's health. My philosophy of care is to make physiotherapy treatments simple, accessible and providing patient centric care.
