The British Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Amputee Rehabilitation (BACPAR) is a professional nationalwide network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) founded in 1993. BACPAR organisation consists of an elected commitee and currently has over 200 members consiting of physiotherapists, technicians and assistants members of the CSP who are working within this specialist field. BACPAR also provides associate membership for other professionals working within the field who are registered to thier own professional bodies.
BACPAR's most important role is the facilitation of edication and training. Each year BACPAR host a 2 day national conference that members can attend at a discounted rate. They also promote education and training at a regional level each year, this is organised and hosted by the regional representatives, allowing members access to local training.
BACPAR are also pro-active advocates of research and encourange memebers to publish and promote current research and audits they have completed. They also have a dedicated research officer to aid in the process.

- To encourage, promote and facilitate interchange of knowledge skills and ideas.
- To improve communiction and understanding between all disciplines working in the field of amputation and limb deficiency rehabilitation.
- To improve post-registration education in this speciality.
- To encourange research in this speciality.
- To provide support and information between members and contact with similar organisations nationally and internationally.

BACPAR are involved in the provision of information for the WCPT Network for Amuptee Rehabilitation Project. Click the link to find out more.
