Patient is supine to one side of the plinth with arm unsupported if possible

Shoulder is abducted to 90 degrees and elbow is flexed to 90 degrees

Goniometer Placement[edit | edit source]

top of acromium perpendicular to the floor in the supine patient in line with the mid line of the humerus

Expected range of motion is 45 degrees
