*#Meet and greet - you should first create your profile page in Physiopedia. Your profile page should include an image of yourself and links to social networking site profile that you are happy to share with your peers. This will allow you to practice editing pages and uploading images, and also enable you to 'meet' each other online.
*#Develop a plan of action - as a group you should make a plan of action as to how you and when will complete the tasks below.
*#Identifying the evidence - you should all complete a literature search to identify key research papers relating to the page that you are working on. You should review these papers and discuss them with your group.
*#Create the page - to create your page you should allocate each person in your group responsibility for a different section of your page. They should write the initial content for that section of the page and add relevant evidence for what they have written.
*#Add media - you might like to think about adding images and video to enhance your page. Images and video that you create as a group will be highly regarded.
*#Review your work - as a group you should review each others work and make any edits as necessary.
*#Housekeeping - make sure that you allocate time at the end of the project to complete and tidy up your page.
**Remember, the 'Talk' page related to your page is available for related discussions throughout the project and will probably be used for assessment, however it is also appropriate to communicate with your peers outside of Physiopedia by other means, e.g. Email, Facebook, Twitter

In 2010 we plan to run a student project in Physiopedia that will involve international collaboration between undergraduate students from different nations. Below are some of the first thoughts for developing this project:

Phase One - Developing the project[edit | edit source]

 • A project guide page for the will be created in Physiopedia which should be developed between Rachael Lowe and the tutors.
 • The related 'Talk' page will be used to communicate ideas for the development of the project and to express an interest in being involved in the project.

Phase Two - Participant selection[edit | edit source]

 • Participants will be undergraduate students from an accredited physiotherapy or physical therapy programme.
 • Each group of participants will have a tutor to guide them in the project.
 • A maximum of 3 nations will be involved.
 • Each nation will be from a different continent.

Phase Three - Creating pages[edit | edit source]

 • The project will run synchronously between nations.
 • Students will be divided into appropriately sized groups (we are aiming for around 10 groups).
 • Each group will contain equall numbers of students from each nation (as far as possible).
 • Groups will be tasked to create pages in Physiopedia.
 • The 'Talk' page of the page the students are creating will be available for related discussions throughout the project and will probably be used for assessment.
 • They will be given a specific time within which to complete their page.

Phase Four - Peer review[edit | edit source]

 • On completion of phase three participants wil be asked to peer review each others work.
 • They will each be asked to annonymously identify their top three pages.
 • The three pages with the highest votes will be highlighted on the Physiopedia home page.

Phase Five - Feedback[edit | edit source]

 • Each participant will be asked to provide feedback.
 • Feedback will be gathered annonymously (maybe online) by questionnaire and open questioning.

Phase Six - Dissemination of results[edit | edit source]

 • With Rachael Lowe (the project lead), the tutors involved in the project will write a report for publication and presentation.
