In 2010 we plan to run a student project in Physiopedia that will involve international collaboration between undergraduate students from different nations.  Below are some of the first thoughts for developing this project:

Phase One - Developing the project[edit | edit source]

  • A project plan will be created in Physiopedia.  This will be developed between Rachael Lowe and the tutors.
  • The related 'Talk' page will be used to communicate ideas for the development of the project and to express an interest in being involved in the project.

Phase Two - Participant selection[edit | edit source]

  • Participants will be undergraduate students from an accredited physiotherapy or physical therapy programme.
  • Each group of participants will have a tutor to guide them in the project.
  • A maximum of 3 nations will be involved.
  • Each nation will be from a different continent.

Phase Three - Creating pages[edit | edit source]

  • The project will run synchronously between nations.
  • Students will be divided into appropriately sized groups (we are aiming for around 10 groups).
  • Each group will contain equall numbers of students from each nation (as far as possible).
  • Groups will be tasked to create pages in Physiopedia.
  • The 'Talk' page of the page the students are creating will be available for related discussions throughout the project and will probably be used for assessment.
  • They will be given a specific time within which to complete their page.

Phase Four - Peer review[edit | edit source]

  • On completion of phase three participants wil be asked to peer review each others work.
  • They will each be asked to annonymously identify their top three pages.
  • The three pages with the highest votes will be highlighted on the Physiopedia home page.

Phase Five - Feedback[edit | edit source]

  • Each participant will be asked to provide feedback.
  • Feedback will be gathered annonymously (maybe online) by questionnaire and open questioning.

Phase Six - Dissemination of results[edit | edit source]

  • With Rachael Lowe (the project lead), the tutors involved in the project will write a report for publication and presentation.
