In July 2014, I will qualify as a Physiotherapist from Keele University. Throughout my time as a student I have been fortunate enough to encounter a wide range of clinical placements including Cardiac Rehab, Critical Care, MSK Outpatients, Orthopaedics and Stroke Rehabilitation. Additionally, I spent my elective placement at DMRC Headley Court, where I experienced treating complex patients with Chronic Pain.

In the summer of 2013, I volunteered as a Physiotherapy student at Kiwoko community hospital, in Central Uganda. My time at Kiwoko taught me a great deal about both their culture and medical care, giving me a glimpse of working in this part of the world. It made me much more resourceful and significantly developed my clinical reasoning. I gained experience of Paediatrics, Trauma and Tropical Medicine during my time there.

About Me
[edit | edit source]

In the future I hope to work within a Rotation to continue to develop the skills I have begun to learn across a wide array of specialties. I am a long distance runner and this has sparked my interest in sporting injuries and their prevention. An area I hope to incorporate into my career, at some point in the not so distant future.
