Providing assessment, treatment, education and ergonomic consultation to employees of St. Joseph’s Health Care. The objective is to assist patients with reaching their
personal treatment goals and minimize the impact of impairment on performance of
occupational, daily and recreational activities.

Veterans Care Program Physiotherapist (Full time)
Providing physiotherapy services to inpatients, post-operative, post trauma or gradual
functional decline frail elderly. This included gait aid and wheelchair assessments with
equipment funded by Veterans Affairs Canada and indirectly by Adaptive Devices Program.

Providing physiotherapy services to residents of long term care institutions to address their post-operative, post trauma or gradual functional decline needs.
Proactive aspect of the role consists of developing maintenance and remediation
programs to address common risk factors for loss of functional independence and falls
in older adults. Balance exercises, motor control exercises, gait and transfer training
was offered to residents according to their needs discussed during screening and
re-evaluation. Integral to this role was delegation of treatment and supervision of
physiotherapy support personnel. Communication of assessment
findings and proposed treatment often involved residents "Power Of Attorney" for personal care.

I have a privilege to provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment, ergonomic consultation and musculoskeletal safety training for staff of St. Joseph’s Health Care London in Ontario, Canada. Occupational physiotherapy has been providing me with a steady stream of exciting challenges and successes since my graduation form Western University with Bachelor of Science, Physical Therapy in 2000.
