Born and raised in Scotland, Laura came to Canada in 2001 to begin her university education. Since graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a BSc(Hons) in Kinesiology in 2005 and then a Master of Physiotherapy in 2007, she has worked in several busy practices, from a single independent clinic to part of a trans-Canada corporation. Laura then completed her Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at Western University in 2012, which concurrently made her a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists.

Though born and raised in Scotland, I came to Canada in 2001 to begin my university education. Since graduating from the University of Western Ontario, I have worked in several busy practices, from a single independent clinic to part of a trans-Canada corporation. My main interests are orthopaedics and sports physiotherapy and I continue to pursue education in these areas. I recently completed Western University's Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy. This program also allowed me to achieve my primary goal of being a member of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists. I aim to undertake a PhD within the next five years and am currently looking for current deficits in the literature that I may help with my research. I have provided voluntary medical coverage at many sporting events, including the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships, the 2007 Canadian National Juvenile Wrestling Championships, the 2010 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships and the 2010 Canadian Special Olympics.
