UK Physiotherapy Placements[edit | edit source]

Students are required to gain 1000 hours on placement in order to achieve registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council. The CSP's article on experience[4] explains various roles that can be included. Current settings that physiotherapy students currently gain experience in are:

  1. NHS settings.
  2. Football clubs
  3. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and military units.
  4. Private hospital groups / large private practices
  5. Placements in social care and the voluntary sector
