At my most recent co-op, I worked as an ergonomics assistant at the City of Guelph examining manual material handling jobs by performing Job Demands Analysis (JDA) and Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) in order to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). By providing workers with new ideas to create safer workspaces and documenting dangers that could potentially pose a threat to others, I was able to work towards creating jobs and job environments more suited to the worker. Prior to this job, I worked as an ergonomics intern at Humantech - a VelocityEHS solution, examining jobs to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), writing analytical technical reports, executing whole body analyses, and recommending improvements to improve operator well-being.

About Me[edit | edit source]

Hello! I am a Kinesiology student in the 4B term at the University of Waterloo hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. I created this account to fulfill the requirements of KIN 470: Clinical Seminar of Kinesiology in Biomechanics. I have over 2 years of customer service experience, learning how to interact with people and constantly solving related issues. I am currently in my last year of university, looking to work in the health care setting, particularly as a physician assistant or a doctor.

Before joining Humantech - a VelocityEHS solution, I worked in Trillium Hospital as a fracture clinic care volunteer and Rapid Access Multispecialty Medical Clinic as front desk receptionist and clerical staff. As a result, I became well-versed in Microsoft Office products, multi-tasking, time management, data entry and organizational skills.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!
