Jigs Coligado (or Jerome Coligado) here! I am known by my colleagues in physical therapy by this name. As a licensed physical therapist from the Philippines, I see patients/clients in a private capacity but most of my professional exposure is in the academe for more than 20 years. I found teaching to be my vocation and very fulfilling at that. Other than teaching, I am delegated with an administrative task as  Chair of the Physical Therapy program of Cebu Doctors' University. Outside the university, I am very much involved in activities of the PT professional organization in Cebu. I am also part of a young organization, the Philippine Society of Wheelchair Professionals.

I am a Physical Therapist from the Philippines since 1994. For more than 20 years I have assumed most of the professional roles of a PT. Nonetheless, I found myself being fulfilled as an educator. My home institution is Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU) where I teach Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy courses. Apart from teaching, my administrative task is as Program Chair of the Physical Therapy program of CDU, where my responsibility is to keep the PT curriculum abreast with local and international standards and the teaching-learning strategies grounded to the needs of a student-centered educational framework.
