The term musculoskeletal refers to muscles, bones, joints, nerves, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and spinal discs. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy utilises the basic sciences of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics as background theory in the assessment and management of patients.
